About
Art has always been part of my life. My father was trained as a commercial artist and my mother took up art after retirement. I spent 30 plus years in the Data Communications Profession teaching corporate engineers and executives the wonders of networks and protocols, exercising the left side of my brain. After retirement, I decided to explore the other side of my brain, beginning my adventure with watercolor. I found my niche in pen and ink and experimental art, successfully marketing my art. Art is my zen too, I often use it as a path to calm. However, often my art takes me on a path to frustration. My joy in art is not just the making of it, but watching other artists create. I especially enjoy young artists who just need a little encouragement to set them on a journey to artistry. In the past eight years I have been serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Wisconsin Artists in the role of Youth Program Director, and for the past five years as the President.
